Yeah yeah, so they have these sort of posts all the time, the whole ‘OMG this is so great, you have to buy it’ blah blah bollocks.

But this time it’s actually true… clever no?

Only you will ever see it, and no one will know you’re wearing it. I am, of course, talking about the Tiny Empires hud!

Now I’m really not the person to force all my friends/loved ones/random people into things that I think are awesome (except Tie, but that was clearly stated in the prenup) but Tiny Empires is the dogs, I don’t have the writery qualities to explain how good it is. You’ll just have to trust me. I first heard about it in Jelly’s blog. It’s a sort of hierachy game where you buy land, enslave people into your line, and grow in rank through the series of increasingly haughty sounding titles.

Right I’m pretty certain I’m losing your attention now so…. OOOoOo look CLOTHES!!

Ha! That gotcha. Anyways, so you grow and grow in rank until you become a mighty king or summit. There’s loads of cliqueing and drama for those that care for that, or you can play the game at a more leisurely pace.

As you can see in the pictures Tie and I have been taking the regality of it all rather to heart.

One other thing. The autumnal looking sim behind us is The October County. It’s unfinished as yet but it’s incredibly beautiful on a Straylight sort of scale, and yet spooky, they play old radio drama’s of a spooky nature on the audio at certain times and have events and so forth. I have to admit I haven’t been to an event yet so it may indeed be cack but probably worth a peek!

My name is QQ and I suffer from blogging binges.  After one of my most recent binges, I detoxed thanks to RL late nights keeping me busy, but the withdrawls took over and here I am back with a Heavenly Hash, complete with second helpings!

I have some things I have been sitting on, and here is one of them.  These feminine yet sexy tank tops by Yenta Semyorka of Y7 come in a pack of four featuring different shades of an oceanic horizon complete with a great cut on both the neckline and the hem with additional texture and wrinkle work making these fun, quality additions to any inventory.  Isabeaux leather pants by Launa Fauna of LF Fashions add a bit of “bad girl” flair especially with these gorgeous prim belts, respectively La Perle and Lushius, by Galea Yates of Fancy Schmancy.  Black leather Chelles wedge shoes by Skylar Pomeray of CSJ Designs are my chosen footwear here, and Onyx Leshelle of Maitreya is responsible for the no-nonsense Suya hair.  Wooden beaded jewelry finish the look off thanks to Caliah Lyon’s Kailena Sea and Shore necklace from her store Muse and the Coco-Nuts bracelet stack by Veronyka Heckroth of Frustrated Inc.

Next is a somewhat military chic hash that began with a dark green military jacket by Maria Gherardi of MG Fashion(available in other colors and on her discount wall!).  Maria had kindly passed me a couple of berets that I have been having fun with so I took a trip to her store and am definitely looking forward to seeing what she does in the future.

These boots, Industry boots, were such a fantastic surprise this morning provided by Accacia Brissot of Infernal.  Boots are both my weakness and the bane of my very SLexistence and I cringed as I put them on with the expectation that they would not “fit.”  I was right…they didn’t…BUT these were some of the most easily modifiable boots I have come across and in no time at all, and with barely any loss of the originally intended design, I was in boot heaven!  I dug out my old raggedy ass (that’s really what they are named!) stockings, garters and belts by Govindira Galatea of D3volution!, picked up the black leather glove set at Roslin Petion’s Tete a Pied, slightly tinted the brown scarf that comes with the Peepul outfit by June Dion of Bare Rose, along with a rope necklace I picked up for 50L at Kimmera Madison’s Tres Beau.  The belted plaid skirt is a piece from DoC Eldritch of DE Designs’ Valley Girl outfit and finally the hair is Onyx Leshelle’s latest, River.

While winding down after too long of a night at RL work I started playing around in Photoshop with lighting and effects and such.  If you’d like to have a look:

Continuing the witchy theme and cleverly topical coming up to Halloween and all and *looks at Kitty* SECOND!  Ummm, that lost some of the impact.  Here’s a newish offering from Barerose that comes in the usual multitude of colours, random bits and pieces and parts that you’ll never wear.

Oh yes, apart from the lovely outfit and the picture (which incidentally took hours because I was trying to make it look as good one of Kitty’s who even more incidentally managed to make five of the bastards before I finished my first), I’m Tie, grudging wife and glamorous star of Kitty Lalonde’s better fashion posts.  This is my first effort at fashion blogging and if the amount of time that’s gone into it is any measure, probably my last too… for this season anyway.

For those accustomed to exciting stuff after the cut you can imagine some sort of filthy, deviant photos filled with throbbing nakedness.  Oh ummm and some credits too.  But it’s nearly 2am and I can’t be buggered to do a cut, and more importantly have no clue how.

Suffice it to say that the outfit is from Barerose and it’s called witchy witch… sorceress.. something.  Oh, and I wasn’t wearing any panties while wearing it or doing this post!

It only took me three tries to shop at Bare Rose today (sim crash, sim restarts…ya know how it is), but worth every $L

135L to be exact for this particular set of three “Judy Tweedly” coats.  While working on an upcoming M2 article on autumn casual comfort–look for it in a couple weeks–I got the urge for something fun and different and for that price…well, it was clearly a no-brainer!  I am showcasing two of the three here, the other being a brown version.  June Dion tends to pack options upon options into boxes with a single swoop, this gem being no exception.

Paired with the “Lagerfeld Headband” (gawd, I love this!) from Megg Demina of Chapeau tres Mignon I am going to venture to say that I have that Harajuku look going on (and iff’n ya say it’s c-c-c-couture, ya better head for the hills lmao), at least in the first pic, but I will take a deep breath and wait for Kitty or Serenity to call me the fool and tell me it ain’t.  Hell, I’m all about the 80’s, what do I know?  LOL

Bunches of ways to wear this outfit rendering the process of digging for the perfect accoutrements unneccessary if you’re in a hurry.  Everything in the pic below is included…everything…well minus the hair, aforementioned headband, skin, tat and the pantyhose.  Expect some prim adjustment time, but even I have it almost perfect and I am prim-challenged to the max.

I admit I was a bit skeptical when Siyu Suen urged me to say “see you soon” to my more mainstream hairstyles and check out the Primal Hawk she had created.   And I also admit I was a quite surprised at how quickly I started to like it on me. 

Now don’t worry, I am not turning Mad Max on ya’ll.  But for 75L per color, or only 300L for a pack of all 10, this is one cool accessory to own for some wild events or even photo opportunities–I had tons of ideas swirling through my head for just such an occasion.

Now while I’d like to think I have a decent shaped face/head, I have to give credit to the creator of the skin I am wearing.  This is Smoky Disco, one of the brand new makeups for the “Jessica” skin line from Stumbelina Ophelia of Cake, who earlier today released twenty new makeups for the Golden tone.

This past week during my free time I have been digging around my inventory mixing some old stuff with some new stuff and noticed an emerging theme after two outfits–rocker chic, the 80’s way.  So I went with it and did two more.  The possibilities of this style are endless for me, so this might become a regular not-so-regular (I hate to commit myself LOL) blog theme.

With many slices of 80’s fashion infiltrating the RL scene, naturally we are seeing this revival around SL as well.   During the 80’s I was just a few years too young to experience it at it’s height.  At 8 years old, I was the biggest Madonna freak (stop laughing!); at 10, I wanted to be Molly Ringwald just so I could kiss Judd Nelson; at 13, I swore I would someday marry Vince Neil (boy am I glad I didn’t persue that, have you seen his current wife?).  Then grunge came. Grrrr!  That didn’t stop me, even though I wore flannel shirts 2 years before it was cool. 

Entering high school in 1990, my typical attire included a long, black leather coat, Iron Maiden tee, skull-print leggings and slouchy, suede boots.  I was about 4 years too late, but I didn’t give a hoot and to this day Rob Halford is still a god and Sebastian Bach is an eternal hottie.

Now you can find Iron Maiden shirts in Saks 5th Avenue–I saw it with my own eyes, didn’t dare look at the price tag.  Suede slouch boots are back in fashion, skulls are on everything including pink sweater vests (like, gag me with a spoon!), cheap silver metal bangles are everywhere, and the one fad I thought would never be remotely acceptable, let alone cool, again–leggings under mini’s.   I just hope huge, feathered hair doesn’t come back because I sold off my stock in Aqua Net years ago.   That reminds me, I should really apologize to my parents for having to change the wallpaper in the bathroom due to the massive hairspray build-up.

So while the designer’s featured in the post may or may not have meant to become part of my ”I Love the 80’s” flashback…deal with it LOL  In these days of couture madness, here’s my rebel yell…and I cried: more, more, more!

Ridin’ hot on the coattails of Sansarya’s post, “Nicky Ree Defines Class”, I had made a long overdue trip to Nicky Ree’s store this past week to pick up two outfits she had released in the past month.  I wanted more…oh, how I wanted more…I always want everything she creates but I do try to pace myself.

The “Julia” in red was a must-have-right-this-second-how-did-I-miss-it-upon-release…*click-buy-wear*.  Yeah, that’s precisely how it happened.  Eight vibrant colors available, and a multitude of purchasing options, as Nicky is known for.  And while I love her for it, it also creates severe decision-making issues for nuts such as myself. 

Nicky describes this as silk and satin, but I saw latex and leather.  So whichever your fancy may be, you can make “Julia” look divinely elegant or gothic domme.  It’s available in 8 vibrant colors as a dress set with a just-above-the-knee skirt, or the gown set, as shown above, each having three different top options while the aforementioned dress set also comes with a shrug jacket.  And if choices make you stand and deliberate for an hour, such as myself, then I am pretty sure you can pick up a pack of it all as Nicky usually offers that option (not in-world to confirm.)

Accessorized with the black ”Revers a Lacet” gloves (also available in white) from Draconic Lioncourt of Draconic Kiss and hairs by ETD (Trinitee in the two outer shots) and Deviant Kitties-Cheyenne in the center.  I spent quite awhile trying to find complementing jewelry to wear for this but nothing clicked for me as the dress just seems to best speak for itself.

And for another look at Nicky’s “Nicole” dress, that Sans so beautifully showed off in the brown scheme (clicky her piccie for the whole slew of the options since she went for the super-size!), I present the basic black version, although Nicky’s black is anything but basic!  *silly side commentary to Sans: Did ya realize Nicky Ree’s rhymes with MickeyD’s? Luvya!*

Git yer minds outta the gutter!  Somehow I managed to finagle having the morning off from work and was playing with my new stuff.  Alas, I have to go in an hour so I am going to try to make this brief (Ha! Yeah right.) 

Jacket: Gimme Shelter Hoodie (Onyx) by Janie Marlowe of Mischief   With scultpie hoodie and sleeves, this also comes with a shoirt tank top, long tank top, hoodie with long tank top in one and hoodie without tank top, so you can put your own choice underneath as I did.  No trans, and prim parts are mod.  Available in other colors as well.

Shirt: Suzie Top (Printed Brown) by Emma Gilmour of Sand Shack Surf Co.  This off the shoulder top comes in solid as well, and you get both shirt and jacket layers.  Trans only and available in several colors.

Pants: Silver Jeans (Light Indigo) by Chloris Hathor of G.L.A.M. These come in 6 shades, separate or packed, with skinny leg, capri length and ripped boy shorts (all on both pants and undie layer), as well as sculptie skinny leg and capri cuffs . The belt and pocket embellishments are an add-on pack sold seperately and worn on the pants layer, so wear your Silver jeans of any length on the underwear layer and pop these Silver Rockstar Denim Embellishments on the pants layer and…voila!  A gazillion combinations are possible as the embellishments set comes in either silver or gold with 12 different belts in each featuring solid studded colors as well as animal prints.  All of these are No Trans/Copy/Mod.

Necklace: Kailena Necklace (Tan/Bone) by Caliah Lyon of Muse, this is Copy only and available in your choice of ivory or tan cords, and three different bead hues.  Caliah offers matching earrings and bracelet too.

Boots: Wrapped Stiletto (Black) by Fallingwater Celladoor of Shiny Things  These are Copy only, but come in regular or wide-leg for (hopefully) a near perfect fit.  I believe there are demos for these, so be sure to try that first if you are adverse to shape-changing for boots like I am.  I am a wide leg and proud of it!  LOL

Brown suede, leather coats, peasant tops and more have me begging for the season change.  I can almost smell the crispness of new fallen leaves and hear the crunch of walking among them.  It’s 101 degrees here today.  While it can be any time of year we want in SL, sometimes a bit of RL wishes comes into play as you will see here with these 3, yes 3, pics.  I feel like I am breaking some kind of unwritten rule I have by smashing three different ensembles into one post here but lordy, I am way behind.

I know this has been blogged and mixed and mashed but I took the pic for blogging back on July 26th so…pffttt!!!    The “Angela” outfit by June Dion of Bare Rose featuring spectacular prim work, lace details that come in many colors (all in one package) and matching leather pants.  My first thought was: “I am the Lizard Queen!  I can do anything.”  Well maybe not anything, but with June’s ultra-cheap prices a trip to Bare Rose is like stumbling across top designer hidden treasures in a thrift shop.  Speaking of Bare Rose, there is a huge 2-day celebration for their 2-year anniversary coming up this weekend, details can be found on the blog.

The hair is “Artist” by Miriel Enfield of Miriel and I love the long bangs.  This is the only time I have ever, EVAHHH, purchased a “fat pack” of hair.  Fourteen colors for 290L and that is NOT a typo!  It has a prefect sculpted hairpin, which sadly doesn’t show well in this pic, that is scripted to change into gold, silver, black or completely invisible. 

Here’s one I shot way back on August 5th, which feels like 2 months instead of 11 days ago LOL  Tuli Asturias of Tuli released the “Laynie” outfit and I went nuts over it, especially having found the perfect hair for it that same day, Boho by Stumbelina Ophelia of Cake.  It’s available in 3 color combos or discounted fatpack which I fought to resist and ended up with ”Laynie Earth.”  Not only is it available in 3 color combos, but each combo comes with 3 jacket layers: one with a patterned undershirt, one plain undershirt, and one sans undershirt letting you mix and match your fave tank tops and the like. 

It comes with the skirt shown below where I tossed on a great pair of Blaze Columbia’s tights, but I also matched the top with the latest jeans from Nephilaine Protagonist of PixelDolls, the Basic Jeans in Dust (these come on both pants and underpants layer and you also get sculpty prim legs), as well as my favorite belt for the past 2 years, the strung leather belt by Fallingwater Celladoor of Shiny Things.  And don’t forget the choos! Onyx Leshelle’s Enchant heels in Guepard available at Maitreya.

And last but certainly not least, the leather coat from Siddean Munro of SLink.  Yes, it’s been blogged a thousand times over and dammit, I so knew when I ran over there the night of release, already past my bedtime, that there was no way I would be the first lmao  So I resigned myself to the fact that being able to function at RL job comes first and that I would blog it anyway   Picture first this time, more info to follow:

Originally released in just black, red and bronze, Siddean has just today added another  seven shades to the collection!  These are 300L a pop or 2400L for the fat pack of all 10.  In addition to the new colors, she has also created a shorter “skirt” as an option.  These are now included in the purchase but if you bought any before today you need to IM her  with the color you bought to receive the short one (which I did and recived no response as of yet…I am sure she is swamped, so wondering if notecards might be the better way to go?)  She was a pleasure to meet and chat with as she let me be a bit of a squatter in her store tossing clothes together while my usual homebase was “acting up.”  Pants again, as well as top (Trouble) by Neph of PixelDolls.
