Continuing the witchy theme and cleverly topical coming up to Halloween and all and *looks at Kitty* SECOND!  Ummm, that lost some of the impact.  Here’s a newish offering from Barerose that comes in the usual multitude of colours, random bits and pieces and parts that you’ll never wear.

Oh yes, apart from the lovely outfit and the picture (which incidentally took hours because I was trying to make it look as good one of Kitty’s who even more incidentally managed to make five of the bastards before I finished my first), I’m Tie, grudging wife and glamorous star of Kitty Lalonde’s better fashion posts.  This is my first effort at fashion blogging and if the amount of time that’s gone into it is any measure, probably my last too… for this season anyway.

For those accustomed to exciting stuff after the cut you can imagine some sort of filthy, deviant photos filled with throbbing nakedness.  Oh ummm and some credits too.  But it’s nearly 2am and I can’t be buggered to do a cut, and more importantly have no clue how.

Suffice it to say that the outfit is from Barerose and it’s called witchy witch… sorceress.. something.  Oh, and I wasn’t wearing any panties while wearing it or doing this post!

Hi! Serenity here. That’s me modelling designer Cristina Elvehjem’s Retskell dress from Versteck. 

I love the magic of words, the music they make, the rich tapestries of well worked phrases spun into images and tales.

I love the sensuality of fashion, the ways clothes excite the eye with pattern, form and colour, caress the body with warmth, or bare the skin to the kiss of summer skies and admiring glances.

I love the voices of people, the diversity of thoughts, the gardens of mood and emotion, the mysteries of hearts yearning to find their voices.

I love the doors opening into the future, the touch of fingers on keyboards reaching out across space and time, extending through all these electrons to touch other human beings right here in this moment now.

I love words, fashion, people, and the bright promise of Second Life. So needless to say, I’m really excited to weave these loves together as an M2 Fashion Angel.

And I love laughter: the poke in the ribs and the bounce off the wall that reminds us to have fun, to keep discovering and being surprised. It’s like Pablo Picasso said, “If you already know exactly what to do, what’s the point of doing it?”

So I was standing in a store one day, a rather new one that Katt Kongo told me about, and suddenly, there was The Designer! I was thrilled beyond belief to see her there. The lovely, the famous, Ginny Talamasca! THE Ginny who slyly “talked” me into packing away my grungy freebie jeans and slipping into a key lime green skirt with her fabulous designs. Ginny had just expanded her first Dazzle store and was releasing about one new thing a day. And there I was, just in time to grab the latest release BEFORE EVERYONE ELSE!!!

“Do I get to be the first one to buy this bit of loveliness?” I asked. “I believe so! *wink*,” she answered. And while it wasn’t the start of my fashion addiction, it definitely was the start of my Fashionista career. The rest is history!

And my favorite thing about fashion in SL is that it just keeps getting BETTER! Believe me, two years ago I turned over my credit card to Linden Lab with a certain amount of trepidation, and today I can attest that virtual fashion is entrancing, liberating, exciting, overwhelming, and sooo worth it. Think of the horrible Monday you just had at work…and then imagine buying that wonderful new Ivalde or a fantastically outrageous Sixx Kennedy hairstyle. Transformation in minutes. Suddenly it is a wonderful Monday! Swirl around in that poofy skirt, pose like a sleek, leather-bound cat in front of a Dominus Shadow, drape your body in diamonds and gold from Random Calliope or just slip into a gorgeous new Celestial Studios skin. Transformation! That’s what I love about Second Life fashion, and that’s what I’m going to be writing about!

Hi fashionistas, I’m Sans and I’m addicted to fashion!

*sneaks in* I’m actually a renegade freelance angel! I normally work/own/pretend to write a magazine called Filth but we don’t do fashion in that, so I snuck my way into the Angels through the most angelic of angels, Madison (who is underneath me, as always). I also take photies and viddys, you can see these umm wherever the hell they are!

When it comes to fashion I’m ridiculously fussy, nothing non prim ever goes on me feet, same with me noggin (british term, means head). I change my entire outlook on outfits on a daily, sometimes hourly, basis. Occasionally I drift into upwardly mobile type funkness, sometimes freaky kookiness. I love (and own the copyright on) gunslut chic. Gritty is good, but FAR too many people are doing it nowadays, so I’m leading a turn towards harijuku hopefully!

If I had to give shout outs to designers it would have to be Kin Keiko, Etain Peregrine (Lilith boots, say no more), Fade Dana, Trinitee Trillam, Kaysha Sion ummm oh and Santana Lumiere and Starley Therian for making sezzy skinness.

If anyone cared in the above piccy I’m wearing the green SOS dress from Karamia, Lilith boots in white, Sera hair (slightly modded) by Kin, Nea-ban studious glasses, ummm necklace is shiny things and the gloves are Skanks ‘r’ us.

So, I suppose if you are going to read our fun little blog, it would be good for you to know who we are!   Over the next few posts, you are going to learn all about the lovely and talented women I’m lucky enough to work with here at the Metaverse Messenger.

Me? I joined SL last summer for a reason that *gasp* had NOTHING to do with fashion! I’m a RL volunteer for Relay For Life, heard about the wild success of the SL event, and created an account the very next weekend. The rest, shall we say, is history? I’m lucky enough to work with the SL RFL committee and support their efforts to fight cancer!

If I owe the discovery to my inner fashionista to anyone, it is my very first friend in SecondLife, Colette Chadbourne. Teaching me the beauty of shopping and the divinity that is Shiny Things, Colette remains one of the coolest, most unique fashionistas I know today. Between satisfying my penchant for expensive shoes and hanging out with my dear friends (woo hoo E, Kitty and Tie, the Morgan Clan and RockNGames Radio!!), there is never a dull moment here on the grid and I’ve been addicted, I mean in love with the virtual experience ever since.

It was that love of shopping and fashion that led me to the Metaverse Messenger.  I started writing in January of 2007, becoming one of Katt Kongo’s Fashion Angels, currently being lucky enough to lead the team of Angels and serve as editor for the fashion section.  

When considering my style, I think it is the diversity in SL that causes me to be so very eclectic. I love my LF prim jeans, my FORM tattoos, my shiny things “old boots”, and ETD hair. I love my suits from Last Call and my kimonos from Bare Rose and everthing in between. If I had to choose, I’d guess I’m a bit on the chic conservative side, but reserve the right as so many here in SL to let my crazier tendencies in fashion show themselves on special occasions!

Addicted to skinOriginally uploaded by Carissa Crimson*waves* Hi everyone! I’m so excited that our Fashion Heaven blog is finished that I can barely contain myself! Where do I start?

Oh…an introduction…I’m Carissa Crimson, self-proclaimed SL Fashion Junkie and shopping addict. Most friends fondly call me CC, but I’ll answer to Carissa, Cari, Crim…and I’m probably one of the most helpful people you’ll meet on the grid.

I love to shop, and (Linden balance allowing) I’ve been known to sim hop for hours ‘oooh’-ing and ‘ahhh’-ing and gleefully scooping up all the lovely, yummy goodies I come across. As a Fashion Writer for the Metaverse Messenger, I’ve been able to share informative articles about some of the interesting stuff I’ve discovered on my shopping adventures, but I’m ECSTATIC to have a more informal outlet to blog all the fashion I get so excited about right away.

I’ve been interested in the fashion aspects of SL since I rezzed almost 8 months ago. I did Style Consulting and Personal Shopping for a while, and I still pick up clients occassionally if time permits. Runway modeling is a complete and total rush for me, but assignments are hard to get so I don’t do as much modeling as I’d like. I’m still into the club scene to satisfy my passion for Event and Theme styling, so my inventory is full of fun things like wings and tophats, latex and body oil (don’t ask!).

My personal style isn’t something that I can really categorize. Sometimes I log in and feel a little Glam, sometimes cute and spunky, and sometimes like a Vixen, and I fight with my inventory long enough to mix and match my style to my Mood du jour. My favorite clothing items all have the common characteristics of beautifully detailed textures and simple lines to accomodate my habit of over accessorizing. You may see me in lots of skins (I can’t stop buying them…I need an intervention) but my favorites are the Lovey Darling skins in Chai tone. I love them…they are YUMMY like CANDY…yes they are! Look for an article on the recently released Lovey makups in the upcoming issue of the M2.

The SL Fashion Community is a wonderful group of talented people and I consider it a great priviledge to be a part of. Amazing designers and clever fashionistas that forever show how limitless the possibilities are in the incredible world of Second Life. If you see me on grid, please say “HI”, I love meeting new people, talking about new trends and releases, and rescuing newbies from their default settings.

Eager to start on actual fashion posts, I figured it’s only proper to post my introduction first.  While I may be a new addition to the Metaverse Messenger, I am not so new to fashion blogging.  I have run my own blog since June of 2005, that more or less transformed into a fashion blog over a short period of time.

I’m coming up on my Third SL Rezzabirthary, July 3rd to be exact, and my love and adoration for fashion in SL has only grown stronger with each year.  I have modeled for several agencies and designers for the past 2+ years, and even contemplated “retirement” from runway work here and there, but I just enjoy it too much even if I don’t get to do it as often as I used to.

I also don’t get to blog as much as I used to which is why I was so attracted to the idea of hooking up with the other amazing Angels here on the M2 Fashion Heaven blog. 

Though I tend to lean towards a rocker/biker/lil bit o’ goth/wildchild look, you will soon find out that I appreciate a multitude of styles and tend to be a bit schizophrenic in my daily appearance.  Sometimes, though rarely, you may even spot me wearing a hint of pink

Aside from my fashion obsession, I am a rock and metal DJ who is currently on hiatus due to bandwidth and early bedtimes LOL.  I was co-founder, co-owner, lead manager and DJ with RockNGames Radio which we started back in September of 2004.  We have gone through a small, but all very special, handful of “homebases” over the past 3 years and have been the main station for Lil SLurgis, a biker’s haven, since this past November.

I’m looking forward to watching our Fashion Heaven blog and grow and I will readily accept comments and suggestions on how we can make it better, what you like or don’t like, what you’d like to see more of, designer/store suggestions and more!
