Fallingwater Cellardoor of Shiny Things devoted two and a half weeks of full-time work to create her new sculpted Ruffle Boots, and the results are stunning! Available in four colours – black, chocolate, coffee, and scarlet – the detail and texturing on these boots are truly exquisite.

The name Ruffle comes from the distinctive ruffling on the uppers and tongue, which – along with the shoe buttons - lend the boots a vintage charm. Look closely and you can see the exceptional care Fallingwater has invested in perfecting the texturing and ensuring all the details of design are exact.

Captivated by the old world charm of these boots, I decided to teleport to Barcelona del Oeste, one of my favourite sims, where I tried on a number of outfits to get a feel for what would work best. I settled on jeans and pants as my personal preference, but there’s no question these boots are versatile enough to work with dresses and skirts too.

My name is QQ and I suffer from blogging binges.  After one of my most recent binges, I detoxed thanks to RL late nights keeping me busy, but the withdrawls took over and here I am back with a Heavenly Hash, complete with second helpings!

I have some things I have been sitting on, and here is one of them.  These feminine yet sexy tank tops by Yenta Semyorka of Y7 come in a pack of four featuring different shades of an oceanic horizon complete with a great cut on both the neckline and the hem with additional texture and wrinkle work making these fun, quality additions to any inventory.  Isabeaux leather pants by Launa Fauna of LF Fashions add a bit of “bad girl” flair especially with these gorgeous prim belts, respectively La Perle and Lushius, by Galea Yates of Fancy Schmancy.  Black leather Chelles wedge shoes by Skylar Pomeray of CSJ Designs are my chosen footwear here, and Onyx Leshelle of Maitreya is responsible for the no-nonsense Suya hair.  Wooden beaded jewelry finish the look off thanks to Caliah Lyon’s Kailena Sea and Shore necklace from her store Muse and the Coco-Nuts bracelet stack by Veronyka Heckroth of Frustrated Inc.

Next is a somewhat military chic hash that began with a dark green military jacket by Maria Gherardi of MG Fashion(available in other colors and on her discount wall!).  Maria had kindly passed me a couple of berets that I have been having fun with so I took a trip to her store and am definitely looking forward to seeing what she does in the future.

These boots, Industry boots, were such a fantastic surprise this morning provided by Accacia Brissot of Infernal.  Boots are both my weakness and the bane of my very SLexistence and I cringed as I put them on with the expectation that they would not “fit.”  I was right…they didn’t…BUT these were some of the most easily modifiable boots I have come across and in no time at all, and with barely any loss of the originally intended design, I was in boot heaven!  I dug out my old raggedy ass (that’s really what they are named!) stockings, garters and belts by Govindira Galatea of D3volution!, picked up the black leather glove set at Roslin Petion’s Tete a Pied, slightly tinted the brown scarf that comes with the Peepul outfit by June Dion of Bare Rose, along with a rope necklace I picked up for 50L at Kimmera Madison’s Tres Beau.  The belted plaid skirt is a piece from DoC Eldritch of DE Designs’ Valley Girl outfit and finally the hair is Onyx Leshelle’s latest, River.

While winding down after too long of a night at RL work I started playing around in Photoshop with lighting and effects and such.  If you’d like to have a look:

Rebel Hope, dressmaker extraordinaire and incredibly beautiful lady both inside and out, has unleashed her latest seductive creation on us this weekend.

“Sinful” is three outfits in one plus shoes!  I love the semi-transparent sheen and the scalloped edges on the two skirt options…sinful yet tasteful, for sure.  The pants option is great for when you want a classy, professional look and the flexi halter tie-back adds even more realism to the virtually touchable fabric of these dresses.  The sexy heels included are very well-done, versatile and come with a soft hint of bling that yes, you can turn off (99.9% of SL thanks you profusely, Reb!  LOL) 

Note that this is available for purchase in Black only, the Red version was a special offer to the lucky group members of RH Designs VIP Inc which is free to join and can be found via the search group function.   Now don’t burn me at the stake…it didn’t dawn on me til it was too late that the red was not going to be available for all, but I decided to keep the images of the red version in as they show off the detail a bit better than my pics of the black.  Ok, let me be upfront…I also was to lazy to re-do the pics.  Come on now, it’s a holiday!

This past week during my free time I have been digging around my inventory mixing some old stuff with some new stuff and noticed an emerging theme after two outfits–rocker chic, the 80’s way.  So I went with it and did two more.  The possibilities of this style are endless for me, so this might become a regular not-so-regular (I hate to commit myself LOL) blog theme.

With many slices of 80’s fashion infiltrating the RL scene, naturally we are seeing this revival around SL as well.   During the 80’s I was just a few years too young to experience it at it’s height.  At 8 years old, I was the biggest Madonna freak (stop laughing!); at 10, I wanted to be Molly Ringwald just so I could kiss Judd Nelson; at 13, I swore I would someday marry Vince Neil (boy am I glad I didn’t persue that, have you seen his current wife?).  Then grunge came. Grrrr!  That didn’t stop me, even though I wore flannel shirts 2 years before it was cool. 

Entering high school in 1990, my typical attire included a long, black leather coat, Iron Maiden tee, skull-print leggings and slouchy, suede boots.  I was about 4 years too late, but I didn’t give a hoot and to this day Rob Halford is still a god and Sebastian Bach is an eternal hottie.

Now you can find Iron Maiden shirts in Saks 5th Avenue–I saw it with my own eyes, didn’t dare look at the price tag.  Suede slouch boots are back in fashion, skulls are on everything including pink sweater vests (like, gag me with a spoon!), cheap silver metal bangles are everywhere, and the one fad I thought would never be remotely acceptable, let alone cool, again–leggings under mini’s.   I just hope huge, feathered hair doesn’t come back because I sold off my stock in Aqua Net years ago.   That reminds me, I should really apologize to my parents for having to change the wallpaper in the bathroom due to the massive hairspray build-up.

So while the designer’s featured in the post may or may not have meant to become part of my ”I Love the 80’s” flashback…deal with it LOL  In these days of couture madness, here’s my rebel yell…and I cried: more, more, more!

Brown suede, leather coats, peasant tops and more have me begging for the season change.  I can almost smell the crispness of new fallen leaves and hear the crunch of walking among them.  It’s 101 degrees here today.  While it can be any time of year we want in SL, sometimes a bit of RL wishes comes into play as you will see here with these 3, yes 3, pics.  I feel like I am breaking some kind of unwritten rule I have by smashing three different ensembles into one post here but lordy, I am way behind.

I know this has been blogged and mixed and mashed but I took the pic for blogging back on July 26th so…pffttt!!!    The “Angela” outfit by June Dion of Bare Rose featuring spectacular prim work, lace details that come in many colors (all in one package) and matching leather pants.  My first thought was: “I am the Lizard Queen!  I can do anything.”  Well maybe not anything, but with June’s ultra-cheap prices a trip to Bare Rose is like stumbling across top designer hidden treasures in a thrift shop.  Speaking of Bare Rose, there is a huge 2-day celebration for their 2-year anniversary coming up this weekend, details can be found on the blog.

The hair is “Artist” by Miriel Enfield of Miriel and I love the long bangs.  This is the only time I have ever, EVAHHH, purchased a “fat pack” of hair.  Fourteen colors for 290L and that is NOT a typo!  It has a prefect sculpted hairpin, which sadly doesn’t show well in this pic, that is scripted to change into gold, silver, black or completely invisible. 

Here’s one I shot way back on August 5th, which feels like 2 months instead of 11 days ago LOL  Tuli Asturias of Tuli released the “Laynie” outfit and I went nuts over it, especially having found the perfect hair for it that same day, Boho by Stumbelina Ophelia of Cake.  It’s available in 3 color combos or discounted fatpack which I fought to resist and ended up with ”Laynie Earth.”  Not only is it available in 3 color combos, but each combo comes with 3 jacket layers: one with a patterned undershirt, one plain undershirt, and one sans undershirt letting you mix and match your fave tank tops and the like. 

It comes with the skirt shown below where I tossed on a great pair of Blaze Columbia’s tights, but I also matched the top with the latest jeans from Nephilaine Protagonist of PixelDolls, the Basic Jeans in Dust (these come on both pants and underpants layer and you also get sculpty prim legs), as well as my favorite belt for the past 2 years, the strung leather belt by Fallingwater Celladoor of Shiny Things.  And don’t forget the choos! Onyx Leshelle’s Enchant heels in Guepard available at Maitreya.

And last but certainly not least, the leather coat from Siddean Munro of SLink.  Yes, it’s been blogged a thousand times over and dammit, I so knew when I ran over there the night of release, already past my bedtime, that there was no way I would be the first lmao  So I resigned myself to the fact that being able to function at RL job comes first and that I would blog it anyway   Picture first this time, more info to follow:

Originally released in just black, red and bronze, Siddean has just today added another  seven shades to the collection!  These are 300L a pop or 2400L for the fat pack of all 10.  In addition to the new colors, she has also created a shorter “skirt” as an option.  These are now included in the purchase but if you bought any before today you need to IM her  with the color you bought to receive the short one (which I did and recived no response as of yet…I am sure she is swamped, so wondering if notecards might be the better way to go?)  She was a pleasure to meet and chat with as she let me be a bit of a squatter in her store tossing clothes together while my usual homebase was “acting up.”  Pants again, as well as top (Trouble) by Neph of PixelDolls.

As much as I ADORE my poses from Luth Brodie of Reel Movement and Beauvoir Rousselot of maitreya, I’ve taken enough photos that I found myself in a rut…hitting the same stands time and time again for my snaps. LUCKILY, Lux Yao of Amaretto has tossed her hat into the avatar pose arena. I finally found the time to drop by Amaretto and check out the configurations Lux came up with. I was delighted to find not only adorable stands, but also chairs complete with charming sit animations. Here’s a sampling to get you motivated. So hurry up and sit.

As part of this post I also wanted to do a little ensemble mish mash. Closet Crisis does it best, but I wanted to try my hand at a mix and match, because honestly, I really have to find a purpose for all the forgotten pretties I’ve bought on my impulsive shopping sprees. I ran this outfit by Aradia Dielli (a kick butt mix and matcher in her own right) and she approved…so tada! my first “Heavenly Hash”.

It all started with the Jessica II hair in Chestnut (not yet released from ETD) with delightful wide brimmed hat, which set the theme for light and elegant coordinating pieces. I just HAD to include the new rouched (spelled it right this time) bustier from Savvy? in Teal under the Caroline Belted Empire blouse with puffed sleeves from Last Call. The skirt is part of the Brown Robyn Slip Dress also from Savvy? paired with Paper Couture heeless peaked toe stilettos in soil. Minimal accessories include the Mama Harper Two Strand Pearl Necklace from WorthWhile by Random Calliope and Shiny Things’ Spiral Disk bracelet. In the sitting pose, I had to substitute Choice Slacks in Beige from Nyte ‘n’ Day (thanks Aradia) because we all KNOW what prims skirts look like when you’re sitting.

I went on a little mini vacation this past weekend (Lollapalooza…woo hoo!) and my hotel’s firewall stubbornly refused to let me log into SL. After enduring 14 hours on standby in a Chicago airport (not so woo hoo) I’m home, with LOTS of blogging to do. Oh, and other exciting stuff while I was gone…I won Kota’s Queen Bee trivia thingamabob, so I get first dibs on Savvy? goodies for the rest of the year (yay me!) and somehow I was also chosen for Grace Winnfield’s model search, which I’m excited about because, well dang it, I want to model!

I have decided that Onyx LeShelle of maitreya never sleeps, she dropped so many pretties in my inventory while I was away I couldn’t help but wonder where in the world she finds the time to produce such a volume of HIGH QUALITY designs. It seems they have already been blogged from here to the far reaches of yonder by all my fellow fashionistas, but I added my own lil twist. Love it or hate it, but I think it’s cute.

Socks and Sandals! I am making a fashion statement, nevermind the fact that I stole the style from my Grandpa. I love these slouch socks. Vibrant colors in a soft chenille texture. I know they’re only socks…but goodness, don’t you WANT THEM? They are paired here with the Frisky sandals (also from maitreya) and also available in a toeless version.

Also from maitreya are these beauties: sculpted peep toe heels in Onyx’s standard INCREDIBLE textures. Shown from left to right are the Enchant heels in Red, Sunrise, and Dalmation. I can’t pick a favorite between the vibrant color of the red, the sweet bow on sunrise, and the touchable softness of dalmation. Next up is a delighful surprise I had waiting for me, sculpted prim jewelry from Kesseret Steeplechase of Kess Creations. On the left are the Simply Pearl pieces: bracelet, earrings, and pendant necklace with a price tag of 100L per piece. I’m such a sucker for pearls and these are extremely well crafted. I’ve been a bit spoiled with my Claris pearls from Muse, but I now I have a reason to switch them out more often. My only criticism is that I would like to see more of a “pearlescent” texture on the pearl prims, but the the delicate gold chain is so pretty and the accent jewels are the perfect touch.

On the right is the Caterina set: amethyst stones set in gold, all for 400L. Exquisite detail and primwork in the golden jewel-encrusted globes suspended from a round setting and accented with dangling prism stones. The perfect accessories to dress up a simple and elegant gown.

Yeah, I had to reference an old hair metal tune for the title, cause well…that’s just me.

An apparent jester craze has come out of nowhere as Siyu Suen of Illusions says on her blog there must have been something in the air because none of the creators were in cahoots or even aware of the other’s creations.  We had the Jester outfits from DoC Eldritch of DE Designs; Siyu’s Harlequin Caps and Jester Horns with jingly sounds (turnoffable), plus her Harlequin belts and ruffs; and Munchflower Zaius of Nomine whipped up a new line of skins called “Pierrot” featuring 10 makeups.

I had so much fun tonight mixing and matching all of these to show you and regretfully I only have the demos of the Pierrot skins.  Oh how I love them, but my bank account is just not conducive to novelty skins right now *sad clown*  So if you can ignore the word Pierrot that’s branded across my body in the images below, I suggest you go have a look for yourself at Nomine.

Deviating just slightly from the jester clothing theme, when I went for the Pierrot demos I noticed what appeared to be a new dress from Munch called “Kiera”.  Grabbed it.  Mixed it up with some more of Siyu’s fantabulous re-releases that she has updated since the sculptie revolution and voila!  There is something just truly beautiful about the flexi skirt in that while it looks basic black, Munch did an execllent job of adding just the right amount of texture that stands out when you see it in person.  The flexi flow is superb as well and for 300L you just can’t go wrong.

I’ve done many a post on my own blog about the unique beauty of Paeoti Pomeray’s designs, and now I get to do my first here at Fashion Heaven.  The latest from Nymphetamine Boutique, recently relocated to it’s own sim of the Isle of Nymphetamine which in itself is must-see, are featured below.

Paeoti has a knack for combining playful and sexy with elegance.  She can add frills and lace to leather and goth…the perfect match for us angels with slightly crooked halos ;-)   Her creations are never simple or thrown together and her attention to detail is obvious.

Starting off with Dark Victorian Nights, a shining example of her talent with formals.  With many formal dresses one feels like they need an occasion in order to wear them.  With Paeoti’s formals however, I can’t help but get myself all done up and prance about everywhere…no occasion necessary.   It is available in black (shown) or red, the prim sleeves are optional as the dress still looks gorgeous without.

Once you’re done prancing in public, Pae gives us a matching lingerie set (sold separately) for prancing with your lover.  Also available in black or red and includes fishnet stockings (not shown because I wanted to wear these delicious Over Knee boots by Armin Wiefel of the Drawmachine, which come with their own stockings as seen below).

Now for something that reminded me a bit of the St. Pauli Girl ads.  How’d you like to be served a frosty one from a cute barmaid wearing Baby Blues?  Again, Pae’s attention to detail shines through as we all know that matching up those laces on the hips so perfectly had to be a bit nerve-wracking.

And in pure Nymphetamine fashion, a risque’ little number by the name of Daria.
